Service Representative
Nelson Homes is looking for a Service Representative to support our Ready-to-Move (RTM) homes based out of Lloydminster, Alberta.
This is a contracted position. Applicants must have their own company and WCB coverage in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Service Representative is responsible for completing three primary service visits for each RTM home:
Post-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Visit the home following delivery to assess, document and photograph any damage that may have occurred during transportation. Major damage must be addressed immediately.
Initial Service: Complete repairs related to move damage and other deficiencies. These visits typically require two to four days depending on the scope of work. Overnight travel may be required when returning to Lloydminster each day is not practical.
Year-End Service: Visit the home to complete the year-end deficiency list.Skills &
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be personable, outgoing, self-motivated, responsible and hardworking, with a strong commitment to customer service, workmanship and communication.
Applicants must also:
- Hold a valid driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract
- Supply their own tools
- Be comfortable travelling to customer homes throughout the service area
- Maintain Nelson Homes' high standards and represent the company professionally
Candidates must be capable of completing a variety of residential repairs, including:
- Shingles, siding, soffit, fascia and eavestrough repairs
- Window and interior/exterior door adjustments
- Cabinet door adjustments
- Basic electrical and plumbing work, including installing lights and taps
- Drywall touch-ups, nail pops and crack repairs
- Paint touch-ups
- Repairs to scratches on cabinets, benches and mantles
- Repairs to various types of flooring
