Construction Manager

Nelson Homes in Lloydminster, AB, is looking for a Construction Manager to join our team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and have a passion for construction, this role is for you. This is a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Schedule (using Buildertrend) and supervise all trades for the construction of the Ready To Move Homes (RTM’s)
  • Work with sales to ensure house is built as per paperwork and customers’ expectations
  • Work with coordinator to ensure all material needed for construction is delivered on time and on budget
  • Enforce company safety program and conduct regular safety meetings
  • Ensure all houses are built to CSA standards and all paperwork is filled out
  • Work with yard coordinator to ensure a clean, efficient, and safe construction site
  • Supervise all aspect of the entire construction site and maintain the highest level of quality

Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Have previous site supervision experience
  • Knowledge of current building and energy codes
  • Be very personable, outgoing, self-motivated, responsible, and hard working with an extremely high standard of customer service
  • Be extremely organized with the ability to multitask
  • Be able to read blueprints
  • Experience or training in project management
  • Must have the ability to travel and a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Previous experience with Buildertrend and Work Hub would be definite assets.
